Area-51 is the first Alienware laptop to support up to Gen 5 SSD storage which is capable of improving read speeds by up to 84% and write speeds by up to 75% over the average performance of various Gen 4 SSDs. Introducing the Cryo-Chamber
Developed by our engineers, Area-51’s new Cryo-Chamber structure, located at the bottom of the laptop, focuses air to the core components where it matters the most. The Cryo-Chamber props up the laptop and introduces a much larger air intake, promoting increased airflow, and features a clear Gorilla Glass panel providing a view of the AlienFX fans. This structure, combined with more copper and bigger fans than ever before, enable a higher power ceiling, up to 280W TPP, without raising acoustics.
